Here is manual gprs setting for your Sony Ericsson mobile, Though it is better to call customer care and ask them to send automatic gprs setting to your mobile, but if you are facing problem in saving setting , then you can follow these steps:


Here steps are for Airtel gprs, if you are using other network gprs only APN and IP address will be changed, other settings and procedure will remain same( you can change operator name)


Open menu
Go to setting
select connectivity

Data comm.
Data account
Add new
GPRS data
Name of account- MO
APN: airtelgprs.com


Write access point of your service provider, As for airtel APN is "airtelgprs.com",  for detail of other networks APN you can check my post http://rtechreview.blogspot.com/2011/01/mannual-gprs-setting-of-all-mobile.html
Username and password- leave blank
Save- OK


Now go back to menu
select internet services
options
internet profiles
add profile
Name- Airtel(you can choose your service provider name)


connect using:  select MO
IP address- 202.56.231.117 (for IP address of your service provider check my post http://rtechreview.blogspot.com/2011/01/mannual-gprs-setting-of-all-mobile.html) 
save-OK


Back to internet profiles
select Airtel
select advance
chg homepage
write Google
write: http://google.co.in/
hit back to main options
choose select profile
select Airtel


you are done now, now you can use internet in your mobile
